With respect, sarcasm can be quite rude. For example, in the email, the man sarcastically told the girl that it was DUMB to ASSUME that EVERYONE in a CALIFORNIA chatroom is from CALIFORNIA. I'm going off memory, but that was his complaint and reasoning for insult, no?
I have never been beaten or abused, but for someone to say women deserve it is VERY ignorant and RUDE. As for physically violent, sometimes people do need a good smack upside their head to clear their thoughts, but I use that stament metaphorically because I could never hit anyone unless they hit me first and only in self defense of course.
As for your last statement, I do not believe anyone in general should expect to be able to treat anyone rudely and have it be disreguarded or tolerated for that matter.
I'm terribly sorry that my words misinterpreted what I meant to say, but it seems to me that you put a lot of words in my mouth that were not there. I never said nor implied that women should be allowed to walk all over people. I do not enjoy arguing, but I felt that since you took the time to post a message on my actual page that I should clear things up.
I guess even an innocent comment can turn into an internet confrontation. =]
